Ending Your Day

There may be nothing better at the end of the day than a beer, why not make it a Samuel Adams?

Skiing back into the parking lot at the end of the day is one of the greatest feelings you can have. Your legs are 7 stages past burning as your muscles fight for energy from the power bar you ate after lunch. The camelback water you have been drinking all day tastes like stale rubber and your appetite for breath is nearly unquenchable. Despite your body collapsing in on itself, your mind is eagerly scanning through images of the day. The final steps to your car are facilitated by the robotic motion of the heal-to-toe 2 step swagger one has in ski boots and knowing you're seconds away from finally taking your pack off. Here are a few things to do when your day is over to help your body and brain recover.

  1. Drink water
  2. Change your clothes
  3. Drink water
  4. Stretch
  5. Drink Water
  6. Relax
  7. Drink Beer
  8. Eat

After perhaps my best day at Tucks in my life I said (while drinking beer in the lot) that only a burrito could make the trip better. 45 minutes later we pulled into an unknown Mexican cafe and got burritos to go. At this point the day gained permanent status on my "top 5 epic ski days" list. Therefore, I suggest Cafe Nocha burritos in Conway for your post Mt. Washington hunger.
